Episode 017: How to Better Protect Yourself & Family Against the Coronavirus with Dr. Babalola

Mar 27, 2020

So, there is a ton of uneasiness, stress and for some a little anxiety surrounding the Coronavirus and a lot of it comes from not knowing a lot about the virus. So, I decided to do a special podcast on “How to Protect Ourselves, Our Family, and Our Community Concerning the Coronavirus. And I have a special guest, who is also a dear friend, who did an excellent job explaining the virus and giving us a few tips to protect ourselves (as much as we can). Today’s guest, Dr. Kathlene Babalola, is originally from Washington, DC and is a graduate of Morgan State University.  Prior to embarking on a career in medicine, Dr. Babalola worked as a drug metabolism scientist in the pharmaceutical industry.  She obtained her MS in Biochemistry from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and her medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.  She completed her residency training at Albert Einstein Medical Center specializing in Emergency Medicine. She currently practices as an Emergency Medicine physician in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Listen we have a great discussion regarding the Coronavirus.

Show Notes:

  • The Coronavirus is not a joke or a hoax. If you want to protect yourself, your family, and your community, please follow the guidelines of your locality.
  • We all would love to get back to “life as usual” but the only way this could happen is if we are able to get rid of the virus. If we continue to “socialize” instead of implementing the “social distancing” rule, the virus will be here a lot longer than it has to be and will impact more people, more families, our finances and more businesses.
  • If you want to get more tips, please follow Dr. Kathlene Babalola on Instagram at www.instagram.com/kathlenebabalolamd
  • As always, please adhere to your doctor’s directives if you are exemplifying any symptoms.
